After a long two year break Drioglann Loch Measc is looking forward to welcoming tours and groups once again to
their distillery. You can experience the wild and wonderful beauty of the area that inspires them in their work every day .It is hoped to recommence tours this coming Easter 2022. Tours are 1 hour long, from 11am , 12pm, 1pm and 2 pm daily, Monday – Friday, and the season will run from Easter to September.
Drioglann Loch Measc is a micro-distillery based in the Gaeltacht of Tuar Mhic Éadaigh (Tourmaceady), Co. Mayo. The distillery is nestled between the Dirk Mountains of the Maumtrasna range and the shores of Loch Measc (Lough Mask) with some of the most breathtaking views of the region right at the front door it is a classic site for a distillery.
Production started early in 2018. Tiny batches of a wonderfully rich spirit are crafted by hand in beautiful copper pot stills. The main products are Loch Measc Gin, Loch Measc Vodka and Loch Measc Single Malt Whiskey.
On the tour you will get a fascinating insight into the history, culture and science of Distillation as a craft and a sample of our fine products are included in the tour.
A guide will walk you through the process, history of distillation in Ireland and the world; give you insight into the finer details and science behind the craft. You will also get a taster of their products included with your tour. The tour costs €15 per head.The distillery is located 35 km from Westport, 34 km from Castlebar, 70km from Galway City.
